The Chrysler seems preparing a new 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine, which has been codenamed “Hellcat”. It originally placed the next generation Dodge Challenger SRT8, and be close to 640 horses, making the car becomes the strongest American muscle car, surpassing the 580 horses produced by the supercharger V8 6,2-liter engine of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
Engineer of Chrysler said that the engine will be the last before going into effect stricter levels of average consumption (CAFE) in America. The new generation Challenger will start be made from mid-2014 and is quite likely to be presented at the Detroit next January.
