The assets of the company Nürburgring GmbH, the company that manages the eponymous track, were officially for sale and the company receives from today offers to purchase.
Among the items that are for sale, is of course, the dance floor Nordschleife, the piece of Grand Prix, the hotel Eifeldorf and another four star hotel without being called but likely to be the Congress or the Dorint. The buyers can buy individually or through an agreement all package.
Although it is sad to think that the Nürburgring can be changed, the person responsible for restructuring Prof. Dr. Thomas B. Schmidt said:
This will benefit not only employees, but also the people and businesses throughout the region.
Despite the difficult economic situation that has spent the last few years, the Nürburgring is reportedly profitable, as the press release indicates positive cash flows and revenues to €60 million per year. Bids will be accepted until the twelfth day of June and the assets that are expected to “catch” more than €120 million.
