Work on the development of the BMW 1-Series GT continued in Nurburgring. The production version of the Concept Active Tourer will be unveiled in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show with the five-door hatchback model to place opposite the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and stylistically, although the heavy camouflage, we see that 1-Series GT has a spoiler and twin exhaust tailpipes.

It is the first car BMW model in its history and will be built on the new platform UKL1 will prototype the next generation of MINI, but the next – the third-generation BMW 1 Series. The new platform will have front suspension with MacPherson struts and rear will place a multi-link suspension.

Mechanics will be wearing a range of petrol and diesel where among them will be wearing the new three-cylinder engine. The engine is a 1.5-liter turbo technology and will pay from 81 to 201 horses. Also there will be diesel engine efficiency from 82 to 184 hp. Besides car versions, there will be four-wheel drive.

Design seems more interesting than we had seen so far, the car has aggressive and prominent front grille, headlights with LED, aluminum details and distinct high roof. Sales of the BMW 1-Series GT will start in 2014.

In related news, maybe the next generation BMW 1-Series, it will be sold in America. The main reason is because the model will be manufactured in Europe, the cost of transporting the U.S. raises the final price but there is a risk overlay models of MINI. In addition, current prices 1-Series in America are particularly those in the 3-Series .

BMW will wait to see how sales will go to the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3 Sedan , so getting the final decision.
