General Motors announced that the 2014 GMC Sierra will be equipped with the vibrating safety seats has developed and initially outfitted models of Cadillac.
The technology is called Safety Alert Seat, and is the first time it is used in production cars. Informed by vibrating the driver of an impending collision or accident or while driving on the road or when parking. The seat vibrates either the left or the right side, depending on which side is detected while the collision to be activated even when the driver is changing lane without flash light.
The system works with other security subsystems such as collision warning system, a lane departure warning system, a blind spot warning system and the system warning intersections.
