With a headline like that many might think that the new SEAT is going off track. But calm, operating losses have grown significantly due to the launch of new models that force to make high investments in marketing and advertising among other things.

Launching new models such as Toledo, Leon and Leon SC has nullified the positive effects on to increased sales, although for the next few months the situation should change. The losses in the quarter were 46 million EUR, indicating an increase of 58.6% over the same period last year.

Regarding SEAT sales in the first quarter they sold 87 086 units (+8 , 7%) through the good data from countries like Germany, Austria, Mexico, Israel and Algeria. Furthermore Martorell production including Audi Q3 reached 111,000 units (+11.4%).
