Considering registrations of light commercial vehicles as well as buses and trucks, the Japanese market ended the first quarter with a minor fall, specifically the 9th , 9% thanks to the good performance obtained by small and medium vans. The total market thus was 1,528,009 units.

The big surprise of the quarter is the Volkswagen Up!, A model that stunned responsible for signing and has had to increase the quota of Japanese manufacturing specification. He has already stripped many sales to Fiat 500, a model that certainly lose his place in the Top 20 imported. The new A-Class has also come hard while the new Volvo V40 is already the best selling. Down the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW X1, Volkswagen Passat and this is due to generational change, the Volkswagen Golf. It is assumed that in a few months have normalized deliveries and get back the lost pace.
