Renault COO, Carlos Tavares, in an interview in the Autocar has revealed new details about the production version of the Renault Alpine A110. Tavares argued that the model will come across the Alfa Romeo 4C, featuring enthusiastic targeted at younger audiences.
While writing these lines, the design of the car is 70% ready and features a variety of retro touches like a tip of an arrow, four round headlights and side air intakes. Despite the retro details, Renault’s designers will try to keep with modern dynamic proportions.
Mechanics will be wearing a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-performance 280 bhp. It is combined with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic EDC double clutch gearbox. It weighs close to 1,000 pounds and has a tubular chassis made of steel, aluminum and other composite materials.
Will be presented in late 2015 with sales to begin in 2016. It costs close to £50.000 (€58.300) in England, with Renault wants to build “a few thousand” vehicles annually.
