Dacia is getting tired of the situation in Romania. As you know, there is a tug of war between the Romanian factory unions and address of the firm “low-cost” Renault Group.
Faced with strikes and pressures, Dacia has issued a statement this morning by Bloomberg sounds like a threat for sure: if you maintain this working environment and these strikes, it is likely that part of the productive capacity of the firm is transferred to the plant they have in Morocco.
Vice President of Dacia, Constantin Stroe, ensures that this threat could materialize stoppages if not come to an end, in a friendly way for both parties, while employees stop asking “unrealistic things.”
Stroe added that “produce in Morocco is 54% cheaper than in Romania”. The truth is that the stoppages are affecting when Dacia meet the demand that has built on its product line, which is still very strong, and is growing.
Anyway, sounds more harsh words to lay the basis of a negotiation than a short-term tangible reality.
