George Blankenship, head of Tesla (not CEO), used a conference to discuss the leasing of new systems for the U.S. Tesla Model S to talk, too, of the future Roadster brand. Blankenship said the Tesla Roadster would be a halo model that is “far ahead of any other technique electrical manufacturer”.

Returns to The Tesla Roadster market within four years, once Tesla consolidate their models ‘basic’, which will be the Model S, which is already in the market, the Model X, which is the SUV will arrive in one year plus, and a third model sedan cheaper than the Model S.

Blankenship took to ensure that, seeing the pace of development of the art, the new Roadster widely exceed the 350 km of autonomy of the first generation, and will be faster in the 0 to 100 that the four seconds that used the previous model.

Tesla want to stay on the crest of the wave power in the world, and for that we need to maintain its position with a sporty “halo” to catch the dreams. Furthermore, the next Tesla Roadster will own development, rather than a creation based Lotus, which should allow it to be optimized and designed “to taste Tesla”.
