This afternoon Tesla will make “an important announcement”, which we assume will be the economic result for the first quarter, which is expected to have the black and profits, for the first time in the history of the brand (who won money briefly at the end of production of the Roadster so ephemeral).
This turning point will be accompanied by a fact: Tesla wanted to deliver 4,500 units of its Tesla Model S in the first quarter, but has Surrender 4750, 250 above its most optimistic estimate, and with a production rate of 500 units per week.
Tesla has also decided to remove its offer the basic model of 40kWh battery capacity because the demand for it was very small (4%) which does not justify its production, but still appears on the manufacturer’s website. We understand that eventually, when cover initial demand more capable variants, could again offer a version of economic access for less affluent customers.
Addition, Tesla has confirmed that all models with 60 kWh battery is being delivered with the “supercharger” quick “gift”, even though it was a payment option extra.
Extend this information throughout the afternoon, but as you can see, the future looks good for this Californian firm, which, starting from scratch, aims deliver this year at least 20,000 units of its all-electric sedan.
