Has started the new business adventure Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, a plug-in hybrid that has temporarily ceased production in Japan’s Mitsubishi facilities. The brand has also indicated that the SUV, making the i-MiEV has also been stopped.
According to Mitsubishi’s own account in recent days there have been two cases related to the battery strangers that have forced to stop production. One of them was at a dealership when to check the status of it was found to be melted. The other mishap occurred at the factory where the battery came out blazing. We currently do not know the reasons why this has happened and it seems they are making all relevant studies to ensure the safety of users.
To prevent these problems can affect vehicles already delivered to customers, Mitsubishi shall review the most 4,000 units of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV there rolling. Despite this production break, Mitsubishi does not think it delays the international launch of the model.
