Most premium industrial groups, as the group Volkswagen and BMW Group, do not expect a decline in profits in 2013, betting on a stability with results similar to those of 2012. But not all brands are the premium segment and generalists are suffering. The group Fiat, however, stands out on the grounds that this year will see growth, with turnover increase from 3,810 million euro in 2012 to 4,500 million euros in 2013.

Yet, the start of the year for Fiat is not bright . “The first quarter will not be good, but the important thing is that we uphold our goals for 2013,” said Sergio Marchionne at the annual meeting with shareholders.

One of the reasons for the dismal first quarter as we know, even live in first person . The situation of the European market continues its decline phase econ and will not recover this year, albeit timidly. The other reason is more fleeting.

Currently, factories Jeep are undergoing renovations of tooling for the arrival of the new models and that requires a reduction in production assembly lines. The direct consequence is that Jeep can not meet demand and lost sales. Anyway, Sergio Marchionne remains confident in the group Chrysler to maintain the level of income of the group and working for Fiat is made with full control of Chrysler Group.
