Jaguar XJR released the new 550-hp in New York

Jaguar has announced he will present at the New York Hall of a new version of its flagship XJ. The new Jaguar XJR equip a supercharged V8 of 5.0 liters and 550 hp, or 40 hp more than the current Jaguar XJ Supersport incorporating the same engine. The Jaguar XJR and share with the Jaguar XFR-S the title of most powerful Jaguar’s current range.

The press release refers to “a specific chassis.” We assume that this is a special set of chassis and suspensions or own the Jaguar XJR, which certainly equip them deformable parallelogram elements and air the rest of the Jaguar XJ range.

With the single at the moment photo available are detected already Jaguar XJR aesthetic changes to the rest of the XJ. The grille is specific and skirts, front spoiler with air intakes and alloy wheels. No further details are known, and the price (the XJ Supersport around 160,000 euros, the Jaguar XJR should be 15 or 20% more expensive) or performance.
