Nissan has presented in China the new Teana, a model designed for this market and is derived directly from the latest generation of Altima marketed in some countries like the United States. The previous generation Teana was a successful model in China, with over 700,000 units sold since 2004.
According Nissan has confirmed the brand will start marketing the Teana 2013 next March. They are produced in the Dongfeng-Nissan plant in Xiangyang alongside Sylphy or X-Trail among others. At least initially, the only available engine is a 2.5i 16v with 182 hp combined with a CVT automatic transmission. Later will add a six-cylinder.
Regarding the Altima, the new Teana premieres grill, chrome, alloy design and small changes in the optical. Inside the changes are minor, maintaining a high level of quality and a rich equipment.
