Finally the fourth generation of Subaru Forester has reached the Spanish market. It does so with an interesting range, very competitive prices and a really rich endowment. If that’s not enough, you must add a higher quality finish and significant improvements in steering and chassis to achieve dynamic behavior more effectively in all types of terrain.
During the national launch of the car in Madrid, the Spanish subsidiary noted that Subaru is living a sweet stage globally, with record sales in 2012 and that continues to be an especially striking fact now that most manufacturers are reporting negative numbers. The little dependence on the European market has made it possible last year sold a total of 707,000 units, the U.S. and Japan being the main destinations (with 336,441 and 177,715 units respectively).
In Europe during 2012 42,000 vehicles were registered, a which is very similar to that recorded in Canada and Australia. The only market that experienced a significant drop (over 20%) was due to China’s tensions with Japan over the sovereignty of the Senkaku Islands.
Going 2013 Subaru expectations are brilliant. Once again seek to achieve record sales reaching 750,000 units worldwide. In Europe should increase by 5% to reach 45,000 units, while in countries like Spain the projected increase is higher, namely 20% to around 1,250 units.
