Ford car manufacturer, recalled more than 89,000 2013 Ford Escape crossover and sedan models for the United States and Canada, which is equipped with a 1.6L EcoBoost engine, because the problem is a problem overhaeating which is capable of triggering a fire on the vehicle.

Ford was also recalling 73,320 Escapes and 15,833 Fusions are there in the United States and Canada, after receiving several complaints regarding overheating engine as well as several reports of engine fires. Ford also responded to the matter seriously and urge the owners to contact the dealer as soon as possible to be able to arrange transportation alternatives.

Then, what is the problem of overheating? Ford still has not provided a description of the overheating problems that occur in these products, however, the Ford said that the cluster of vehicles normally displays “Engine Power Reduced to Lower Temps” or “Engine over temp, stop safely” when a problem occurs. In addition, Ford also noted that some of the drivers “also shows that they are audible chime instrument cluster and illuminated with red lights.”

Ford spokesman also told The Associated Press, that the problem of overheating and triggering a fire that occurred at least 12 Escape burns and one involving the Fusion sedan.

For problems that occur in their products, the Ford was still work to be able to fix the overheating.

“We have identified the problem, and take action in order to obtain the best interests of our customers.” said Steve Kenner, director of Ford’s Automotive Safety Office. “It is important that customers affected by the Ford Escape recall did not ignore it, and immediately contact the dealer. Whilst we acknowledge that the inconvenience to our customers, we will take all measures to ensure safety.”
